Utah State Senator Removed From Judicial Committee Because of Remarks About Homosexuals

A Utah state senator on Friday was kicked off a judicial committee he chaired after he drew criticism for comparing gay activists to radical Muslims in an interview aired this week.

Sen. Chris Buttars, R-West Jordan, also told former local television reporter Reed Cowan, an openly gay documentary producer who now works at a Miami station, that gay activists are "probably the greatest threat to America going down."

Buttars declined to comment to The Associated Press, but said Friday he would not be issuing an apology.

In a statement released on the Senate Republicans’ blog, Buttars wrote that he will continue to defend traditional marriage.

"I disagree with my removal as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, since my work there is entirely unrelated to my opposition to the homosexual agenda," Buttars wrote. "Still, I’m a grown man and I can take my knocks. When it comes right down to it, I would rather be censured for doing what I think is right, than be honored by my colleagues for bowing to the pressure of a special interest group that has been allowed to act with impunity."

"What is the morals of a gay person? You can’t answer that, because anything goes. So now you’re moving toward a society that has no morals," Buttars told Cowan in the January interview, which was about the Proposition 8 campaign to ban gay marriage in California and the involvement of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Homosexuals being the greatest threat to America, I don’t know about that. The acceptance and in fact forced acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle choice is without a doubt a threat to America and traditional American values.

I wouldn’t say it’s the greatest threat and it is surely not the only threat.

The intolerance of the tolerant is likely an even greater threat.

The tolerant never want debate, they despise the practice of free speech demanding instead conformity to their political and social positions.

They are the Borg.

The homosexual groups are not the only example of radicalized persons attempting to shut down free speech and debate, I would argue they are the prime example however.

Individual homosexuals and organized homosexual groups were able to practice their right to free speech before, during and after the passage of California’s Prop 8. A good many took free speech beyond civil boundaries by invading churches during services, threatening violence, digging into the private lives of individuals and groups that supported Prop 8 and practicing prejudice in the extreme against the LDS church.

Yet those of us who believe homosexuality to be a negative for the individual and the society as well as a sin, are not to speak. We are to keep silent while the homosexual expects to be heard on every point.

The vast majority of us who are against homosexual marriage and, or, homosexual civil unions, are more than happy to have a debate. Homosexual organizations are not because they know they are likely to lose the debate.

California’s proposition 8 demonstrated that the homosexuals had lost the debate and losing was unacceptable to them.

Utah state senator Chris Buttars has a perfect right to voice his opinion, Utah homosexuals and Utah in general has a perfect right to reject his opinion, but the man should not have been punished for the practice of free speech.

The Truth Of Hamas, In Their Own Words

The following video is a presentation of MEMRI a group which does an absolutely excellent job of bringing Middle East media to the rest of the world, allowing us to judge the nations and the religiosity of the region for ourselves.

In case you are not wanting to watch the whole of the video of I have made a transcription of the various clips within the video. I think it is important that every person knows what is being taught and told to Muslims around the world. By conducting a little personal research it is easy to determine that statements such as you will see in the video are not a peculiarity of Hamas only.

The rhetoric is wide spread and readily received. I would like not to think that the majority of Muslims believe the type of preaching that comes from Hamas and similar groups, but the more I look at the media from Islamic nations the less I believe the claim that Islam has been hijacked by a minority of radicals.

That is something I suppose each individual person can decide upon for themselves for the time being, I suspect that the truth of it will be known sooner or later.

The transcript is posted below the video.

Day Without A Gay

Homosexuals on strike.

A Day Without A Gay

1%, possibly 2% of America does not show up to work?

My first thought, they must have more confidence in the current economy than I do, to skip a day of work and risk losing their job. Of course, no business is going to fire any of them because they know the risk is too great.

The homosexual machinery is rolling at full speed and has proven since Nov 4th that they are willing to run over anyone who get’s in their way, a sane employer would not risk it.

Secondly, what do I care if 1 to 2 percent of the population does not show up to work within a 24 hour period. No real effect was felt after the ‘day without a Mexican’ or ‘brownout’ as some called it.

The only way any effect can be felt by such a tantrum is if non-homosexual gay marriage supporters join them in large number. That is likely not going to happen, and then it wouldn’t truely be a Day Without a Gay would it?

Third, get over it.

Stop throwing a fit.

Stop trying to impose your will upon others (I don’t get to say that very often, most often it is said to me simply because I believe in the God of the bible).

You want to impose your social belief that homosexuals should be able to be married to one another, a majority of your fellow California residents do not want homosexual marriage to be legal.

Grow up already, go to work and act like adults.

P.S.- you already have the right to be married, to a member of the opposite sex, just like the rest of us.

Anything beyond that IS a special right.

You are not anymore special than any other American and are not deserving of any rights beyond any other American.

Free Speech Is Good, Unless You Are Against Gay Marriage

A protest rally was held Friday at the University of Washington in protest of a recent column which was ran in The Daily, the UW student newspaper.

The opening moments of the video demonstrates the hypocrisy of the pro gay marriage crowd, free speech is good for them and their concerns, but not for those who oppose their agenda of gay marriage.

The hypocrisy is further demonstrated towards the end of an article found on the Seattle Times web site when Dave Iseminger, vice president of the Graduate and Professional Student Senate, is quoted as saying lacking an apology, his group

may work to change the composition of the paper’s editorial board

Just as the woman in the video say’s, they are “protecting free speech”. Clearly that is not true.

Since the passage of prop 8 in California we seen homosexual groups attempt to destroy businesses, individuals and religious groups who supported the proposition. The message from Mr. Iseminger and the pro gay marriage group as a whole seems to be clear; “oppose us and we will destroy you”.

The whole incident is further proof that when you send your children to University you risk them returning home to you dumber than when they left.

You can read the Seattle Times article I’ve referred to here.
