Obama Thanks Press For Being, “Gracious And Understanding”

Breitbart

Obama acknowledged there had been “sometimes friction” between the campaign and the press.

“But you guys have been gracious and understanding,” he said, following conservative criticism of the press for its coverage of Obama, as his plane prepared to depart after a huge rally in Virginia for Chicago.

“It’s been a good long ride with all of you,” the Illinois senator said.

“Gracious and understanding”?

Were I Mr. Obama I might have choosen to thank them differently.
Perhaps I would have thanked them for their complicity in my probable election.

Perhaps I would have thanked them for having been my accomplice in deception and in the hiding of some portions of my record and history.

I might thank them for their; collaboration, their collusion, their abetment, manipulation in my favor, their machinations.

On I could go, but won’t.

My point obviously being, if Barack Obama does win this election, he can at least in part thank the MSM.

I know some, mostly those on the left, deny the leftward lean (extreme lean in many cases, MSNBC for example) of the MSM, deny as they might it is factual and has been demonstrated many times over.

Demonstrated yet never delt with, I suspect it never will be as that would mean those with the the lean would have to self correct.

Audio Of Obama Saying He WILL Bankrupt The Coal Industry

Naked Emperor News nails Barack Obama again.

This time Naked Emperor has unearthed audio of Barack saying he will bankrupt the coal industry.

Let me sort of describe my overall policy.

What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.

I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.

That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.

The only thing I’ve said with respect to coal, I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can.

It’s just that it will bankrupt them.

Bankrupting the coal industry so could put more than one hundred thousand people in the unemployment line, meaning more competition for already hard to find jobs as well as skyrocketing energy costs.

No new coal plants would be built, the cost will prohibit their building.

In the audio Barack said:

every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter

How far would he take this charging (read: taxation) of “polluters”?
You and I are in fact polluters to one extent or the other.

There exist untold number of ways to charge businesses and individuals for their pollution, energy is not the only pollution we produce.

He talks of using the money gathered from the greenhouse emissions tax to finance alternative energies. There are no alternative energies on the table right now that are anywhere near being viable in such a way as to even consider replacing coal.

Any such alternative energies which might hold potential to replace coal are at best more than a decade from viability.

The taxation of greenhouse emissions may in fact generate billions of dollars as he say’s, it will also generate joblessness, individual reliance on government (which I’m sure would please him), given time it isn’t hard to imagine brownouts and rolling blackout across the nation.

America may well make a very disastrous choice this November 4th if they choose Barack Obama to lead this nation.

I am not among the money silly conservatives who believe that Barack Obama is a good and well intentioned man with bad ideas.

I believe the considerable and ever mounting evidence suggests that he is anything but well intentioned and is a man with very specific plans. Plans which mean to make as many Americans as possible dependent, even subservient to the government.

Hollywood Is Scared Of An Obama Loss

According to this article some in Hollywood are scared of an Obama loss come Tuesday.

They should be scared of an Obama win, we all should.

A McCain win would be great, considering the option, but as I read the article I saw I noticed some possible bonuses to a McCain win.

For instance, Susan Sarandon said she would leave the country.
I can only assume she would take her significant moonbat other, Tim Robbins with her.

We’ve heard this before from the likes of Alec Baldwin and Barbra Streisand.

Baldwin and Streisand among others, failed to keep their word, sadly it is likely that Sarandon too would likely not keep her promise.

One can always hope though.
